Southern Cuisine

Keith, Patti, Ken and Kathy formed a business partnership in October, 2005 now known as Southern Cuisine Llamas, L.L.C. The purpose of this partnership was to purchase the entire llama herd of Walnut Hill Farms from Joe and Nanette Yarbrough. We felt that their exceptional herd of suris would be a tremendous asset to our existing herd and breeding program.

The Yarbrough's herd consisted of 120 llamas, which included FFF Mucho Mas, Viva Las Vegas, (both extreme suri herd sires), Hard Rock's Fortune & Fame, La Macarena, Spiral Obsession, Twist and Shout, Sleepless in Seattle, just to name a few.

The goal of SCL's breeding program is to produce a line of llamas with lustrous suri and silkie fiber while maintaining the substantial, conformationally correct, large body style of traditional llamas with a gentle disposition. To achieve this goal, we have assembled a herd of some of the most renowned herd sires in the country - Peruvian Doc Martin, MRS Sikini Chief, Black I, S.F. Armani, Woodsedge Smarty Jones, Buster Brown II. Combining these herd sires with our selected females has produced and will continue to produce exceptional silkies and suris that are and will continue to place as Champions in the show ring and at the sales.

We are very proud and excited about SCL's program and the direction it is going. We want to thank all those that have supported us through these steps and hope you will continue. We will continue to breed for healthy, top quality silky and suri llamas that you will be proud to own and show.
